Roots, Rocks, and Romance

They say opposites attract, but in the case of Leah and Shalev, they don’t just attract - they balance each other out like a perfectly tuned scale. When I had the honor of sitting down to design their engagement rings, I realized I wasn’t just making jewelry, I was translating two very different personalities into precious metal and stone.
Today, we’re looking at His.
Shalev isn’t exactly a "polished diamond and smooth band" kind of guy. He wanted something that felt grounded, ancient, and maybe a little bit like it was found during a deep-forest archaeological dig. He walked in with a gemstone ready for his vision: a rough, raw Emerald sourced directly from the mines of Madagascar.
The challenge was to take this chunky, vibrant green piece of Earth and make it look like the forest itself was reclaiming it. We went with solid Sterling silver, but instead of a standard setting, I sculpted a band to mimic the twisted branches of an ancient tree.
The result is a ring that looks like it grew around the finger rather than being placed there. It’s heavy, organic, and unrestrained in every sense of the word. It’s the kind of piece that looks better the more adventures it goes on.
The best part of this project, though, is how it fits into the bigger picture. Shalev’s ring is rugged and earthy, which makes the contrast with Leah’s ring even more delicious.
Discover Leah's ring. It's a total showstopper.
