Wicked Brew

Wicked Brew

I’ve always said that my favorite kind of client is the one who comes to me with an idea that makes me feel like I should be living in a cool lighthouse or a wicked cabin deep in an enchanted dark forest. When Shiri reached out about a custom project, she wanted a whole atmosphere you could wear on your finger.

We’re talking about stirring a pot of secrets while a bird judges your life choices energy.

A witch, her cauldron, and her feathered companion. I’ve sculpted a lot of things, but there’s something special about trying to capture the exact moment a spell is being cast. I spent quite a bit of time making sure that crow looked sufficiently mysterious - it’s got that "I know what you did last summer" stare down to a science.

The cauldron is front and center, looking like it’s ready to brew up some serious manifestations. The witch itself has that classic silhouette, complete with the pointed hat that says, "I’m not a regular mom, I’m a cool hex-casting mom."

When I finished polishing this piece, I had to resist the urge to keep it for myself and start talking to the local ravens. It’s heavy, it’s detailed, and it’s got that dark finish that makes the silver pop in all the right places. Shiri’s vision was a dream to bring to life, It’s the perfect blend of ancient wisdom and modern don’t mess with me vibes.

If you see me wandering around the studio whispering to a black bird later today, just mind your business. I’m just waiting for the cauldron to start bubbling.
