The Serial Romantic Strikes Again

The Serial Romantic Strikes Again

I’m starting to think I should create a "Romantic of the Year" trophy and just permanently engrave Yishai’s name on it.

For the third year in a row, Yishai has reached out to the studio with a mission: create something unforgettable for his partner. We’ve been on quite the journey together - first, there was the Otter-Lobsters piece (still one of my favorite weirdly adorable requests), then the Pinky Promise necklace.

By now, I feel like I’m practically a silent partner in their relationship.

From Digital to Dignified

This time, Yishai wanted to immortalize a specific moment - a portrait of the two of them. Now, laser engraving a photo is one thing, but making it look like a piece of higher-end, dignified jewelry is another. A flat rectangle of silver just wasn't going to cut it for an RBZ piece.

We puzzled over it for a bit until it clicked: if the memory is classic, the housing should be too.

The Details

I went to work sculpting an ornate vintage frame to give the portrait the weight and presence it deserved. But we had a small problem - a key part of their fun day together was a hot air balloon ride, but the balloon was too small to fit into the tight crop of the photo.

The solution? I sculpted a miniature hot air balloon icon and integrated it directly into the frame design. It’s that little "Easter egg" that only the two of them really need to understand.

The Specs:

Material: Solid Sterling silver (925)

Technique: Digital sculpting meets high-precision laser engraving.

Vibe: Victorian gallery meets alternative edge.

There is something deeply satisfying about being part of a yearly tradition. Seeing a client return not just for the stuff, but because they trust me to tell their story in precious metal, is why I stay at the bench until 2:00 AM.

Do you have a memory that deserves to be sculpted in silver? Whether it’s a weird inside joke, a favorite photo, or a pinky promise of your own, let’s build something that lasts longer than a bouquet of flowers.
