From the Depths

I live for the "weird" requests.
When a client reaches and asks for something "timeless," my brain does a little yawn. But when Daniel reaches out? I know I need to clear off my workbench and summon an ancient sea god. Daniel is also a fan of the dark and unusual art, and I wish everyone would follow his lead.
The Request: "Make it a Monster"
The brief was simple but high-stakes: create a ring that looks like it’s actively trying to pull you into the abyss. We didn't want a flat, cartoonish octopus; we wanted a creature with weight, texture, and a bit of an attitude.
I decided on a triple-tentacle wrap. I spent hours sculpting the suction cups and the wavy curves of the limbs to ensure they didn't just sit on the finger - they gripped it.
Forged in the Shadows
For the metal, we went with solid 14K white gold. I love how the clinical shine of white gold combines with the squirmy nature of the tentacles, and the "sunken treasure" vibe it gives the piece.
Every monster needs a heart, and for this one, only a black diamond would do.
Nestled in the center of the largest coil, the black diamond doesn't sparkle like your grandma’s engagement ring - it absorbs light. It’s deep, mysterious, and perfectly fills the void.
Be Like Daniel
Custom jewelry is supposed to be an extension of who you are. I loved making this because it pushed me to balance high-end craftsmanship with a Lovecraftian style.
Don't be afraid to challenge me. Tell me your dark ideas. Show me your unusual inspirations. Whether it’s tentacles, talons, or something I haven't even dreamed of yet, I’m ready to build it. Let’s make something weird and wonderful together.
